High-resolution 16 megapixel colour camera with CMOS sensor and active cooling for recording galactic nebulae and galaxies.

With the Deep Sky Astro Camera you get a modern complete package for the comfortable creation of astronomical photos and videos. The easy-to-use camera allows the capture of galaxies, star clusters, but also the moon and the planets with high resolution and low sensor noise.

Thanks to the fast USB interface (USB 3.0), all images are transferred within a few seconds.

You can screw the camera firmly to the focuser with the T2 female thread (M42.0.75mm) or connect it to your telescope with the supplied 2 "plug adapter .

Important tip: First install the supplied camera driver and the EXPLORE Capture capture software before you connect the camera to the computer!

The included EXPLORE Capture software not only provides the basic image and video capture features you need, but also provides many helpful special features for image post-processing and camera setup: live image display , exposure settings, white balance, dark-imaging, stacking, timelapse shooting, and more individually configured.

Ideal for those beginning on their journey into cooled deep sky astrophotography. With more experience, you can adjust the settings of the camera to your liking.

The software disc also includes an ASCOM driver.

The camera has a highly sensitive and very low-noise Panasonic CMOS sensor , which can be additionally cooled by the two-stage thermoelectric cooling down to 40 ° C below the ambient temperature. In contrast to normal DSLR cameras, this guarantees far less noise and less hot pixels in your recordings. The images are not only sharper and more brilliant, but also contain more usable image information. By controlling the desired camera temperature in a controlled manner, the creation of dark frames under reproducible recording conditions is possible at any time.

The camera has a built-in USB hub on the back with two USB2.0 ports. Connect your autoguider camera or the motorized focuser. This eliminates the need for separate cable connections to the computer.
